I did my video on commonly confused words. It's a little bit long. I probably could have cut out a couple words to make it fit better.

I will be posting my new teaching ideas and lessons that I learn as I prepare to become and become an English teacher.
Becky, very nice, and I think a video showing tips for remembering troublesome words is very helpful. It reminds me Grammar Girls "Quick and Dirty Tips" to better writing podcast where she gives tips for remembering troublesome grammar rules.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest piece of feedback I can give you is that the Ken Burns effect (where it zooms in or out of the picture) is probably not very useful for this particular kind of video because when you were reading a sentence, we usually could only see half of the sentence. This made it really hard to follow along. This could be easily fixed by taking the Ken Burns effect off and instead just showing the sentence without movement, and then having transitions between the different scenes to give the movement you want.
Also, the video is a little long, probably, for high school attention spans. You may want to see if you could shorten some of your description/definitions to shorten it.
But overall, very good! You mastered the technology.
